Understanding YOUR body

This is just a short post on something that I see so often online that drives me crazy. This obsession with girls whose thighs don't touch. There's just something about it that really rubs me up the wrong way.

Countless times on InStagram I have seen before and after pictures of girls that have developed a big space between their thighs. I'm always shocked by the countless comments underneath from other girls asking 'how did you get that gap', 'what leg exercises did you do?' 'What do I need to do to get this?' They treat it like a maths equation! But you will not necessarily get the same outcome because your body is not the same as theirs,  it's not the same as your friends,  in fact, it's not the same as anyone else's on the planet!

Now I'm not saying that I don't think big thigh gaps are attractive, but I don't understand why, when there are so many sexy women with thighs that touch, are there so many girls desperately striving to achieve this?

Some girls are born with this naturally, some girls achieve it over time with hard work and exercise - I'm not under the impression that it is necessarily unhealthy, in most cases I'm sure these girls do work out. But I know that no matter how hard I work, my legs will never look like that, I'm ok with it because I think legs that touch are sexy too. It all comes down to YOUR body and YOUR shape. Don't aspire to reach an un reachable goal :-)

My personal opinion is that if you treat your body well, you will be the best possible version of YOU. It doesn't matter if you don't look like Kim K or have a huge gap. As long as you are healthy and happy.

Promote healthy body images :), don't get upset looking at someone else body because it doesn't look like yours, learn to love yourself and don't waste your time pining over photoshopped pictures of girls. Life is too short, learn to love your body - you'll be amazed at what it's capable of.
